old flame: past love, loved one from a past relationship
old fool: foolish old man, foolish old woman

however those old fools are called fools because the have stopped in their beliefs and somehow are short-minded.

An ''old flame'' is an ex-girlfriend. An ''old fool'' is someone who has lived for more than 40 years and doesn't know what an old flame is. Sorry - hahahaha - forgive me, but it's true.

these are completely seperate groups of references, you question isnt quite clear.
Also, when using plural "people" it is best to use "are" rather than "is".
"old flame" typically refers to a previous romantic interest, not a person over any certain age.
