she thinks you took her daughter from her and she cant let go. do you just act it out and be fake forever?

Be nice. That's about the only thing you can do. If you love your girlfriend, you'll lessen the stress she's getting from her mother if you're polite.
Unfortunately, not even God himself is good enough for most mother's daughters. Sorry.

Prove her wrong. Treat her as if she is your mother. Let her be aware that instead of losing a daughter she is gaining a son. U may feel that she hates u but do not hate her in return, instead show her more love and consideration., ask 4 her advice ,suggestions etc, Love begets love.Kindness begets kindness. Do not give up if u really love yr gf.

She really does not hate you, you are a threat to her, shes just scared your taking her precious little girl away, If I were you Id start killing her with kindness, give her your attn: make her feel like shes not loosing her daughter,shes gaining a son who helps her out and shes important.

BE a man and ignore her or try to prove yourselve like umm.. having a long 1 year relation ship with no cheating whatsoever

ah it aint that bad. some people are lucky to have there other halfs family liking them. i dont even like my own family sometimes! especially me mums side. but it doesnt matter really does it? you love her not her mum. just act polite as you can infront of her and get on with it. remember you only have to be civil while you're there for a split second and then you can go back to your girl

well my mother in law was a ***** at first then she came around to excepting the fact that her daughter and i were in love so she backed off, and all is well now

i understand your position as i was in the same predicament.
what 've done, as long as the girl likes me, i have totally ignored the in-laws. and it has worked coz now they have started to be friendly and also asking for my help once in a while.
remeber, if your girl loves you, no barriers can come in between

I would put all my effort to please my future mother in law, say take her for a dinner, movie or to holiday destination. I think every man has this ability to win a woman's heart.
