A school is a business because it makes a profit. Plain and simple. All businesses have expenses, and make money. If a school wasn't a business and didn't work to increase it's bottom line, it would be a non-profit organization. No schools offer free educations. They would have no teachers because they wouldn't be able to pay them, they wouldn't be able to pay bills or taxes, and therefore, would have no students.

Sure, all schools are business: the books, the mantenaince, the uniforms, the workshops, the process to do the documents of the students, the parties. All these mean business.

a school should be a vocational institution so no it should not be considered a business in my opinion. It should never be striving to make a profit and the children and their development should never be look on as a product. Thats my personal opinion.

Of course it is...that is why your tuition is so high. They market to get more students in and to attempt to hire the best professors.

How do they do it? Look at the college pamphlet for your school.

its supposed to be a non-profit venture, but i know so many schools raking in the cash as they charge students extremely exorbitant tuition fees. try getting into distance learning... low operating cost, and high yield as long as you get a lot of students.
