(go to sleep at 2 am and wake up at 6:30). Should I wwake up at 10 or 11 am on the 25 or take some kind of medication.

Ash has given you a good solution.

The other way I find that works is to stay up 24-36 hours when it doesn't matter so much for work/school and then crash in the evening to try to wake again in the morning.

So:

Instead of going to sleep at 5-6am you stay up - stay up - stay up - drink coffee - drink jolt - stay up - stand out in the sun - stay up - until it comes evening time. Usually you would be so tired that you would crash early evening - 7pm - 10pm... somewhere around this time you should sleep. Set a loud alarm

(if you wanted to take a sleeping pill, this might be an appropriate time - but not too late - not after 10pm)

then wake up and go out into the sun. The bright light helps to reset your sleep wake cycle. Professional sleep labs do a similar thing with big banks of huge lights they shine on their subjects.

If you prefer Ash's method - go to sleep at 5am and wake up at 6:30am come hell or high water. Go out into the sun again. Open your eyes in the bright light and reset your cycle.

Cheers!

Please do not take any medication !!!

I used to work the graveyard shift and now that my work has gone back to normal - I can understand your fears of not being able to get up early.....

On the 23rd or 24th......Dont force yourself to sleep (it never works too as you'll just lie in bed staring at the ceiling....), just go to go bed when you are sleepy even if its 5am in the morning. Now here's the tough part - you need to wake up at 6.30am sharp - even though you've only slept for like 1.5 hours. Its gonna be tough the first day but if you dont do this then you wont break the cycle.

You will definitely be tired on the 24th (or 25th) and trust me - you'll just fall on your bed at around 11pm or even 10pm. This is the rest that you need. Again, ensure that you are up 6.30am the next day (25th). This day should be fine and you will have no worries whatsoever when you need to get up at 6.30am on the 26th.

Hope this helps.....& Good Luck mate !!

I don't think you need any kind of medication! Rather its not good at all! Just tell yourself that you have change it and you will be able to change it! Only at weekend take some extra relaxation... that is enough for changing to new pattern!

And dear! I dont know your age but the sleeping hours mentioned are not good for anybody! so not for you also. A student should sleep at least for 8 hours, so that he can deliever best during his study hours.... and also grow healty in good manner.

Ok, best of luck!
