it's a big deal, because it could lead to something illegal (incest). the harsh reality of the matter is that regardless of what others might think, it is natural for you (a man) to be attracted to beautiful women. furthermore, you're naturally attracted to beautiful young women.
the fact that your daughter is an attractive young woman is not your fault. just realize that although you may be attracted to her, you must never act on those impulses. it's also socially taboo to even bring up such a topic, so in the future, be careful how you word things.

There is nothing wrong with you knowing and accepting that your daughter may be attractive to thers, what is unacceptable is that you find her sexually attractive.
Most people would agree that you have crossed the line on what is acceptable behavior in a parent and guardian, you should be caring for your child and not thinking of them in a sexual manner.
