I reject your premise. For 16 years, I liked my job so well I looked forward to Monday mornings. My bosses, two young (well, when I started out they were pretty young) attorneys, were not so much controlling as guiding. I was their secretary, and I bossed them more than they bossed me, if the truth be told. I enjoyed the constant challenge to my intellect, and was well-organized and pretty clever, and got things done fast enough and well enough to gain a lot of positive feedback. Our clients often complimented me on how well I took care of things.

Then I got laid off. It was quite a blow, and I'm still recovering some 8 months later. But I'm learning a lot of new computer software, and having a good time generally, and expect to start an internship soon in an exciting new job. Once again I expect to look forward to getting to work on Mondays. If the internship thing turns into a real job, I'll be teaching computer classes to senior citizens. I expect it to be a barrel of laughs!

I'm not really a " I Hate Monday " person. And I love my job..
But maybe some ppl keep doing it even though they hate it because they really need that job.. maybe the salary is good..
