No it is not true that Americans are stupid in geographic matters... Brazil is located in south america. it's chief waterway is the amazon river. (incidentally the largest river in the world...not to be confused with the longest (see nile egypt/africa etc)) and the national language is Portugese.

Generally it is wrong to categorize "ALL" of any given people based on a few. granted there are most certainly some americans who know nothing about brazil but I'm certain the same can be said for brazillians. Certainly there are Brazillians who cannot locate america on the map. there are certainly some who could not in fact locate brazil on the map and they live there...

granted geography is important. however, if I don't know exactlly where, the independent states of micronesia are located is it going to adversely affect my ability to function in this world... Probably not. for most people if it doesn't directly concern them then they often have only a minimal knowledge of it... such as such a place in fact does exist somewhere... but if i'm not actually going there and or not going to be dealing with paople from there then i really dont need to know about it therefore i really could care less about it...

Brazil is in South America. I know yall have a pretty good soccer team and that the Amazon takes up a portion of your country. I'm a meteorologist, though, so it comes a little easier to me than others. My opinion is that, yes, a lot of Americans can be stupid in geography and many other matters.

Brazil is in south America. I now that Brazil has many problems with poverty, i now about Rio, the carnival(ho doesn't). You won many world coups at football, Kaka is one of the nicest football player. Brazil has a space program, but so far there where some accidents.Brazilian people are good dancers, etc.
