I believe the US would like to 'take over' Burma (or Myanmar) if they have the opportunity.

The reason or excuse is : Burma is the underbelly of China....and China is the next super-power who can, and would, challenge the US's monopoly in world police muscle flexing.....

....and the US has been, & always, will be eye-ball-2-eyeball with China .... just look at the support the US is giving to Ah Bien (Taiwan's ineffective President).....n the US even commit itself to, pure foolishness of pledging, come to Taiwan's aid in case of a military showdown with China!

If the US could tie enough puppet strings to Korea, Japan, Philippines, Burma & *Mongolia* the US would have achieved the full encircling of China.....

Israel isn't going to annex Lebanon.

Hezbollah illegally occupies southern Lebanon. The democratic government of Lebanon would like to remove Hezbollah, and gain control of their country, as UN Resolution 1559 requires them to do, but Lebanon does not have the military resources to do so.

Once Hezbollah has been eliminated, whatever remains of them will melt back into Syria. The Lebanon military will take control of southern Lebanon as Israel pulls back.
