Christianity is Mythology
But Mythology isnt what most people here seem to think it is.
Websters simply defines Myth as: "the myths dealing with the gods, demigods, and legendary heroes of a particular people"
In otherwords a sacred Story.
And since the bible is sacred to christians it is mythology.
The word Mythology is mistakenly used for "A fictional story" but its not. As pointed out in the question, Greek Mythology is simply stories from an older religion. Native American mythology is stories from their traditional religious system. Japanese Mythology is from Shinto.
to the people that pratice them, these are viable and serious beliefs. Just as to Christians their beliefs are likewise as serious.
I teach an anime and mythology class, and I use stories from the bible to illustate achtypes in myth...but I make it very clear to start that I use the word in its proper term.
A myth is something that should be respected as an important religious and cultural story to the people who believe it, even if its not part of the mythology you believe in.

Christianity isn't considered mythology in most of the western international because of the fact most of the western international has a extreme inhabitants of fanatical fundamentalist Christians and different illiberal Christian zealots. i like examining mythology and that i actually do think of of Christian thoughts and legends as mythology. that's what they're, they're thoughts that have been created via human beings to help them on their religious course, provide them desire and help them stay to tell the tale. i'm merely very, very careful never to declare that out loud interior the library or interior the e book shop.no longer till i'm merely decrease than the impression of alcohol or in a foul temper or experience like having a controversy with a hysterical individual who can be unfavorable and violent. Yeah,as a team y'all are way speedier to key a motor vehicle or kick a house puppy than any Jew, Muslim, Pagan, Satanist, Hindu, Buddhist, Animist or member of the Church of the SubGenius i've got ever met. Y'all could restoration yourselves too.

Since Jesus was an actual human being who is proven from history to have lived, he cannot be considered a mythical being. As for christianity, people have been trying earnestly for the past 70 years to say it is mythology with little to no result. Christianity is not mythology, but if you don't want to believe it, you can call it whatever you want to... you just won't be right.

Wake up buddy,
Christianity is Mythology,
Ask how did Jesus rise from the dead, Details pal , ask for details, (how did he unlock his coffin) how did he get outta the box,? etc etc. Poor chap, and then narrated something that he forgot before, ah, Faith, Faith bling Faith is the culprit,
Read the bible for there are many more.
But in this confusing mythology,
God is God,
He was born again as Jesus,
He was born as a son of God.
Born to a woman in flesh and blood,
Then he was also the holy spirit and the holy spirit was a medium to manifest God into his own son.
God is Jesus, Jesus is God, God is the son, and the Son is God, Father is in heaven, and father had son Killed, crucified, So the Son is God, Father cant save his own son, So now the son promises to save the world, LOL and the holy spirit story has too many holes, and as a whole, Its Mythology at its peak, LOL

The bible is simply a fairytale. Jesus was never anything more than a legend anyways. He may be an actual person, but the story of his life is a complete fabrication. Gotta be pretty dumb to be a Christian

Well it started out as a mystery cult. I don't think it will happen, though.
