My friend thinks Meat loaf and Led Zepplin are not precursors to but rock music. However i beg to disagree, Please some one let me know whether those bands are butt rock or non butt rock. Also you thinks lynyrd skynyrd is not butt rock.

I dont mean are they butt rock per se. What I mean is being that they were all in the 70's and off course the late 70's and 80's brought us butt rock (glam rock or whatever you wanna call it) were they in any way attributed towards the whole butt rock scene.

meat loaf and led zepplin are NOT even in the same category... you would be better off grouping skynyrd & zepplin together, both of whom , YES, are rock and roll. its called classic rock~ now meat loaf??? .... its vintage pop music. never was never will be rock and roll

Led Zep is blues - Jimmy Page still gets bent if people say his band is a rock band. Blues is what Zep is all about.
Meat Loaf... now there's a performer. He's an individual - no one does a show like he does. Comparing him to anybody is pointless, because whoever it is will come up lacking.
Skynyrd? Buttrock? Please.
Buttrock is epitomized by the big-haired 80's bands - Cinderella, Poison, Ratt, Winger... named for the spandex pants every friggin' member wore that showed off their butts.

I don't think they are, the scorpians and **** like that is buttrock! not lynard skynard, and led zepplin. assfucks
