Oh you poor thing...I can totally sympathise with you!! You don't need those expensive pregnancy pillows, normal ones do just as well. Try propping yourself up slightly to sleep, and a pillow between your knees can help if your hips are hurting, I remember in my last pregnancy I had awful problems getting to sleep. I used to spend part of the night in a comfy chair , with my feet up on a stool and pillows around my shoulders. I also used to but a warm wheat bag around my neck, with some lavender drops on, helped me to sleep initially.
It may help just changing position in the night, going from lying to propped etc. Mind you, this al depends on where the baby lies...my last one woiuld never let me lie on my right side. Most annoying!!! Good luck!

Girl, I feel your pain.
I went to Bed Bath & Beyond and bought a $10 long body pillow and I sleep with it between my knees with my top leg resting on the pillow.
Basically, you're going to want to sleep on your side, right or left, with a pillow between your legs and then maybe a pillow under your belly for support.
I usually end up rolling from one side to the other during the night because my hips bother me, but you may not have that problem. Really, at 8 months, there's just not a whole lot you can do to get comfy...sorry.
You might consider sleeping with your head and upper body propped up a bit if you're having a lot of heartburn.
Past that, try sleeping on the couch or a recliner or a chair or something that makes you comfortable. But just think, this is just practice for after your baby comes and you're up at all hours of the night for feedings!

I use a regular body pillow. It will only cost around $10 at walmart or a place thats like that. I couldn't sleep at all if it wasn't for that body pillow !! I'm currently 23 weeks along and thats the best advice I have for you. It's alot cheaper than those pregnancy pillows and works just the same. Good luck with your comfort hun.

I too am now 8 months pregnant, and have been exihled to the couch due to my constant tossing and turning...I really sleep there more and more because I know my husband needs to get his rest, he is the one working 10 hr days..I find that by sleeping on the couch I can more easily prop myself up with pillows, and I sleep with with a pillow between my legs, one under my belly, two under my head, and I usually use the throw pillows to prop my feet up.
Thank goodness we only have a few weeks to go!!

I know what your going though sweetie. Not to long ago I was pregnant with twins. Most of the time I had to sleep on the couch by myself with pillows in under my belly and behind my back and between my legs and I had to hold a pillow in my arms. And if that didn't work I went to sleep on the recliner with my pillows. I hope you get your sleep your going to need it.

I had 3 pillows when I was pregnant. One under my head, one between my knees when I lay on my side and one behind my back. That helped but I understand my son is 6 months old and I remember how uncomfortable it was. Good Luck

Sleep with a pillow under your leg while on your side. Or between them. It really helps me a lot of times and I also try and sit up more than lie down all the way you can breathe easier that way.

i am sorry you are having so much trouble, my wife says try rolling a couple of blankets together and propping your belly up on them like those preggie pillows.. and she also says that she had a hard time sleeping late in her pregnancy.. it kinda goes with the territory.
Good luck.
