Kilo is short for Kilogram. Kilogram is a unit of "Mass". Libre, or lb (pounds) is a unit of "Force". Note that you are talking about two different things from two different systems of measure. Kilogram is metric and pounds is English system. Remember that F=MA ( force = mass x acceleration ) or specifically for weights, W=MG ( weight = mass x gravitational force ).
