That depends on your viewpoint. The USA has supported and supplied despots. We supported Saddam and we all know what he did to his people. We supported Batista. As a nation we have supported more depots than democratically elected goverments. Our policy is simple. As long as you do things our way we don't care how you treat your citizens. However if you cross us, we'll bring you down one way or another. Our foreign policy only claims support of justice and human rights with countries that don't follow our lead. Am I being harsh. Your darn right I am. I am tired of our telling the world what to do and how to do it, when we can't even clean up our own backyard.

Only when we are attacked by terrorists like Hezbollah who in Beirut,
Lebanon killed approx 250 marines the worst attack on American
soldiers since world war 2 outside of the US, and terrorists like
Hezbollah who aided the terrorists Al Quaida in 911! You mess
with our freedom and you incur the wrath of the US. Normally we leave other countries alone. If you side
with us and our common goal to rid the world of these terrorists
then yes you have won our support and are able to be called an
ally. As far as a country that preaches democracy , fights evil
terrorist and harboring countries and a defender of justice, peace,
and the human rights way or whatever. We live by example and
history has shown that we side with others on the side of
democracy. Freedom is the American way.

Presently, the USA is the upholder and defender of the USA. If we find time to focus on human rights, social justice, and all that fun happy stuff, we'll get back to you.

USA believes that they the latter day saviors for all humanity, in homes we all our own problems but we dont ask our neighbours to come and help us clean our dirty laundry for us. USA should respect other countries and besides if it was not for them those countries could be at peace.

All this hogwash must cease. when they feel oppress, they blame the US. When they need help they ask the US. when they are happy by themselves they kick the US. If I were the Americans, Let them be, let them kill themselves because if you interfere, they will say that you cause the problem. Stop these help given to others, help those in your own country. be brave to say the buck stops here
