I once head a very true thing. a Lady is someone in who's presence a man becomes a genleman. Are we running out of good guys because we are running out of ladys? Woman burnt their bras and became butch yet now they complain if they're not treated as ladys! It makes no sense!

I think it's a generation thing and value based. A lot of British young women are or aspire to be part of the ladette culture, where it is totally accepted by their peers that they go out and get p!ssed most nights of the week. Most of the men I know and meet are either happily married and have been for years, or they are divorced with children. I would be really annoyed if anyone treated me with less respect than I deserve.
As for you point are we running out of good guys? I would have to say no from where I am standing, and nor are we running out of ladies, even ladettes grow up eventually.

It is Hypocracy.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with Equality.
However, Opening the door for, letting you go first, paying for you etc... that is NOT equality.
A gentleman is higher in the chain than a Lady. A gentleman will do all these nice things because you are to dainty (aka weak) to do them. A Gentleman will protect you from bad things (Because you aren't strong enough yourself)... the list goes on.
In todays society, you want to be treated the same as men, so you are, so to demand equal treatment and then complain you are not getting the old "perks" is hypocritical.
As I say, I agree with Equallity and no disrespect is meant by my post.

There is definately a lack of decent gentlemen nowsdays, whether it's the lack of womenly ladies i'm not sure. The genders are becoming increasingly similar, take the new term "metrosexual" for example. As indivudals i think we're more focused on ourselves now rather than treating others well, i think the learnt selfishness of society is really to blame. If you want prince charming you'll have to settle for listening to Adam Ant!

I stopped to help a lady (sic) who had dropped her bag recently (quite gentlemanly I'm sure you would agree) but the tirade of abuse I got for jogging over and picking up her mobile phone and lipstick really left a bitter taste in my mouth. She thought I was trying to steal it! In the end I found myself trying to apologise for helping a young woman who actually turned out to be a little worse for drink. I won't be doing it again. Princess? Not that one, and unfortunately many of the young ladies now seem more pampered and immature than ever. Men like stable women, not bunny boiling, stuck up, emotional train wrecks that sulk for weeks and play the victim when it suits them. And drinking is NOT attractive (you've just puked, yummy!) - just look at a bloke with a beer belly then look again at today's women.

Indeed .... modern man is not much different, if anything slightly MORE sensitive and caring than in the past - women, however, especially British women .... they've become on the whole pretty disgusting to be honest! I fancy some, don't get me wrong, but a lot of them I wouldn't pi55 on if they were on fire!

I'm the perfect gent to any woman who wants to be a lady but if she wants to be one of the lads then I'll treat her as such.

You are all chemically imbalanced every month, insecure, immature, controlling, materialistic, grass is greener on the other side mentallity etc. etc. etc... You really can go on forever.
Now that I have my three sons.. believe me I only use them for sex.
