There has been intentional wrecking ever since NASCAR started and it will continue as long as NASCAR is around. It isn't a new thing and Tony isn't the only one who does it. And it's not like he is constantly going around wrecking people. He has been wrecked more times than he has wrecked others.
Why can't everybody just leave the man alone. I am so tired of all the sh*t that he's getting. It is really starting to piss me off. He is an amazing driver, arguably the best right now. And not just in NASCAR, he can win in anything, and he has proven it in the past. He's got so many championships in so many types of cars.
Well anyway, his anger does get the best of him sometimes and maybe he could learn to control it a little bit, but that's just Tony being Tony. He doesn't put on a front for anybody. What you see is what you get and I love that about him. I wouldn't change a thing about him if I could. And he doesn't deserve all this bashing that he is getting. He is a great driver and a truely amazing human being.

I think people, including people like you, need to let what happens on the track be dealt with on the track. If Tony needed an adjustment I'm sure one of the other 42 cars on the track would deal with that. "Someone should kick his a$$".. uh-huh.. yeah, that's helpful. Honestly, racing is racing.. Now, honestly, you've been watching racing for a year.. you said it yourself. I'd honestly say go back and look at some races from the good ole days. Tony is a old school racer and there is nothing wrong with that.
I say we let Tony be Tony, and drive the hell out of the HD #20 car just like he has for two championships, and let bygones be bygones, and let the driver's deal with each other.
Everyone has had run-ins and they come and go..
You say that you've only seen him taken out once, and that was Sunday, but have seen him do it over and over?? Perhaps some replays would be in your best interest, b/c that was waaaaay off. Yes, I'm sure Tony sits every day before a race and picks a number out of his *** and that's the car he'll wreck for the day..*Rolls Eyes* If you remember correctly the 07 got into him first. Tony gave him a little "get off me" shove. So how is that purposely wrecking?? It's called RACING!!! As lot of retired drivers we'll put it.. "it was a racing deal" and it was.. so let it be a racing deal and stop trying to read more into it than there is.
Something you should understand about what happened Sunday..is I honestly doubt that Smoke meant to wipe him out the way it happened. All he did was a little get off of me..this is my part of the track shove, and it turned into a lot more. THis kind of stuff happens all the time. The problem this time?? It wiped out Carl Edwards in the process. He didn't mean for that to happen, but it did, and you cna't change that. What you can do is move on to next week. You live you learn. So let's drop it, eh??
I don't mean to be rude, but seriously, if you are going to run your mouth about kicking someone's ****, than perhaps you should have all of your fact straight. I get really annoyed when people think they can openly bash any driver they want b/c something they did didn't sit right with them. Seriously, any driver..Not just the driver's I like. It's so ignorant how poorly people think they can talk about these guys like they aren't regular human beings like us, who deserve basic human respect..

FYI! Tony is only human and Bowyer ran him into the wall! Yes he retaliated just like any other driver would have. Even Jeff Gordon said he would have done the same thing. The problem is even after he was blackflagged he made his way back into 7th place and showed you all what a real driver is!
I love Tony just the way he is and I hope he never changes not for you or NASCAR or anybody else.
Quote from Tony: "Ask some veterans and ask the guys that I run up
front with every week," Stewart said. "I think I'm a pretty fair
driver to those guys. If I'm wrong on that, I'll quit. I'll give you
my hard card and retire tomorrow.
"But I'm pretty sure that those guys are going to say I race pretty
fair 99 out of 100 times."
Regardless of what the media has to say or all the Tony haters, the
man is respected among his peers. He has proven time and time again
that he can race the best and win. He will continue to race because
he is the best and he loves racing. I know he hates the media with
a passion but he's reached a point in his life where he can't let
them or the haters get to him. You know why? Because when he lets
that happen, he isn't so capable of controlling his temper.
He is just like everybody else, he wants to be accepted and loved
and respected and it's very difficult for him when that doesn't
happen but he's learning to accept that.
He's grown so much in the last few years. Fans have watched him go
from outspoken and at times even rude, to the man who apologizes for
his aggressive behavior. I do not want to see him change and stop
being Tony. If you take away his honesty and his aggressiveness you
have a shell of a man and then hed be just another racer.
Every day he races, he gives everything he's got. He conquers his
claustrophobia, he controls his temper, and he shows his passion.
If you take that away, we don't have our beloved Tony anymore.
This last weekend will take it's toll on the man once again. He has
to answer for his actions to the media and the Nascar fans again. A
weekend off to relax and enjoy? I truly doubt it. Already they
have mounted up the pressure on the man, making him answer for
something he did out of pure emotion. Why should he answer for
something any other driver out there may have done? You know why
Tony answers? Because he feels he owes it to his fans and his
crew. He knows he has caused some pain for it and he is man enough
to admit he made a mistake.
The associated press and Yahoo Sports are very biased in their
opinion of Tony. If you have ever noticed though, where is the
comment box so you can let them know how you feel about their
prejudice? Tony is no longer taking email for a reason, but you can
still mail him. I am not going to say he will answer the hate mail,
but you can send him or Home Depot a letter. But where are the
reporters to answer to us? UNAVAILABLE!
Let them walk a day in Smoke's shoes, race in 140 degree temps in a
car that makes you feel like you can't breathe cuz you are
claustrophobic and then let some idiot rookie slam you into the wall
and see what your reaction is. Let them deal with the pressures that
they put on Smoke.
It just seems like when other drivers do the same thing no one
reacts the way they do when TONY does it. Tony being the
controversial driver he is, with his temper and his honesty will
always be the media's favorite to tear apart. I just hope he
doesn't change for them because I don't want to lose the Smoke I
have grown to love!
GO SMOKE!!!

I agree that Tony has a short fuse and goes over the line sometimes, however, I have never seen him wreck anyone that didn't do something to him first. Unfortunately his actions have taken out inncoent drivers like last week with Carl Edwards. His comments about Dale Earnhart last week and rookie drivers rings true though. I believe there are much more younger drivers out their with big attitudes who think they can do what they want, KYLE BUSH, is a great example. If anyone should be wrecked, it should be him. I never saw anyone cockier than him. He's just a punk.

I totally agree with these other answers, WHY COULD #3 do it but NO ONE else????????? Everyone is just intimidated by STEWART COZ he gets the job done!!!! He is a great driver!! PEOPLE can't say they WOULDN"T do the same thing!!!! BOWYER is a rookie he should NOT be makin enemies with the VETERANS of racing. In this business you HAVE to have friends on the track! Stewart isn't the only one with ATTITUDE either!!! HARVICK has his days of showin attitude, Labonte, Dale Jr, Ryan Newman, Jeff GOrdon, ALL OF THEM at sometime or another SHOWED ATTITUDE JUST LIKE STEWART! Nascar just didn't focus on it as much back then!! Back in the day that WAS RACING!! If they didn't get out of the way TAKE THEM OUT!!!!!! I"M all for STEWART and his ways!!! GO # 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RACE ON STEWART!!!!! HEY He'll b a 3 time champ then see if everyone is still B*TCHING!!!! GO SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yes, Tony needs an attitude adjustment on the track, I don't think he intentionally took out Carl...because he was aiming for Clint...that was even worse since he is just learning!
I love Carl too, but what he did was wrong too! Two wrongs don't make a right!
Nascar needs to give harsher penalties to repeat offenders!
Kicking his *** won't solve it either, he'd come back even more angry!

The main reason I can't stand him is because he cries when someone crashes him, talks about how someone needs to do something before someone gets hurt, then the next day, he comes out and causes 2 to 3 wrecks and says hey that's racing. Yeah, it is racing, so go out and race and quit crying! JERK!
