If you love the person then stay with him. Even if he has hiv, he can take the meds and you can have relationship together, just practice safe sex.
It takes about 3 months for hiv to show up in tests. If he has been tested at least 3 months past his last encounter, then he should be in the clear.
But if it were ME I'd still not be satisfied. Both of you need to be tested. I would say get a test now, 6 months from now and then a year from now. If both of you are monogamous and nothing shows up after a year then you should be in the clear. But until you know for sure: No oral or anal sex with out a condom! And yes I did say oral too and I really meant it!
This guy is up front with you. Who is to say another guy you meet would not care about your safety as this guy does?

I wish you had given just a little more information about your current relationship. It is difficult to advise based on the little bit of information you provide.
If it was me, I'd find somebody else. But I don't know the specifics of YOUR situation.
I do know that it can take a VERY long time for HIV to show up in tests. I think I read that it can wait as long as ten years. I don't think it would do your relationship any good at all to have that hanging over it for ten years.
There are many others out there... many who didn't used to have sex with an HIV infected person.

No anal sex. I would not do oral either although you are 700% less likely to get HIV form oral sex than anal. Condoms have a 2-4 % failure rate.
I know you are probably not interested but http://g0ys.org has some great explanation and stories about frot it can be quite intimate and erotic if done correctly. It is a slow grind. Not thrusting, with as much of your body in contact with your lover as possible. With frot correctly performed you always orgasm together and you bond a lot better than anal sex you face your partner and it becomes about giving your partner release not you. You really feel your partners entire being and all the skin exposed to your lovers body becomes a receptacle for pleasure. you feel every hair as it touched yours. You can not believe how intense the pleasure can be. and as long as you have no open sores on your body or his there is absolutely no risk for transmission of any STD's.

well you should wait and not do any sexual act with him. Then wait for a while and get tested because HIV doesn't show up that early...then after the results come back decide what to do but that is only up to you..I wish you luck!

Don't have sex with him, and wait a few months. Get him tested again after waiting a few months; it should show up by then. You'll want to wait six months or so if you really want to be safe.
If you ever feel tempted to have sex, remind yourself: If you get HIV, you WILL die from it; that's a certainty. It'll kill you, and it will be a very unpleasent way to die.
That should sober you up real fast.
