my dream is to go to washington state. can anyone describe to me the weather, population & attractions in Spokane, Washington?

Riverfront Park is nice and there's a zoo north of town that is all big cats (you can feed lions and tigers by hand there if you're game.) Coeur d'Alene, ID is a half hour or so east and is a neat little town built mainly around a lake resort. Nice place to visit if you're OK shelling out big bucks for a round of golf (they have a floating green in the lake.)

I've honestly never heard anyone say that their dream was to visit Spokane...

Spokane is completly differnt than Seattle area. the weather is warmer and dryer. Its more desert like. Spokane is a decent size city. I dont know the population but its good size and attrations. im not sure there are any there. I prefer Seattle, but I know Spokane has some great old neighborhoods. good luck

Last time I lived there was in 56 but I do know this... The water shed from Northern Idaho south (including the Spokane and the Little Spokane river) have some of the highest lead levels in the WORLD !...

If you go swimming in that water shed DON'T DRINK THE WATER! Most importantly don't let and children or ladies that are PG drink it.

The weather here is usually pretty cool and damp. Over by Spokane is usually warmer in fact the last few days has been real hot!!

Spokane isn't as pretty as anything you will find on the western side, this is true. However, the people are a LOT more hospitable. I liked driving through there. Go Cougs!

Why Spokane? It's so dry and desert like there in many ways ... not nearly as green and beautiful as the western half of WA!!
