I got a tetanus and menicongoccocal (sp?) yesterday, and I've always wondered what causes your arm to feel sore? Like muscle?

I was relaxed.. very relaxed... shots do not bother me.
Also, the first one, the meni, should I have been able to feel a fluid rushing in? I felt like some liquid was being pushed into my arm. I usually dont feel this. Should I have?

The shot is given into the muscle and the muscle hurts - sometimes it hurts more depending on the particular shot and what it is made of - but when a fluid is injected into muscle fibers they take a little while to heal. It is a small hurt compared to how much it would hurt if you got really sick from not getting the shots.

Well, it's usually because of the penetration of the needle, and the insertion of the liquids. But sometimes, if the medic can't find a vessel, it will disturb the skin and muscles. It's not the medic's fault, and they shouldn't be blames. They are only trying their hardest to protect you.

Tightening your muscle right before the injection. You tense up and you're being jabbed in a tight spot. That's why they say to relax.
