After all, you have to be over 18 to buy porno magazines..how can they get away with this with all the kids that are on the net.. Heck the kids are even on the net when they are at school.

I know what MY kids are doing, I watch them when they are on the net...but what is funny, is that my daughter tells me how all the kids at her school look at porno, and get myspace accounts.. I think that is crazy.

Rhythm: I am not a facist, I am a concerned parent. If you are going to ban kids from written porn, then why not porn on the net? Why is this freely accessed?

"Man, being a parent must be tough work..." lol...thanks for the dig... but I was simply asking a question. My kids are not allowed on the net unless I am watching them. The point was, how can they get away with all this porn on the net, and yet porno magazines are banned from minors?

I'm of the opinion that banning is NEVER the answer, and people have a right to view what they choose to. But I do feel parents should discipline their children and make sure they monitor the kids' internet usage and/or block adult-content sites using the Internet Security options, until the parent feels the child is at an age where they are responsible enough to make decisions like that for themselves (that age will vary depending on the child). On a similar note, I wouldn't want my kids viewing websites like bestpageintheuniverse.net until they were in their mid teens, much less pornography, but as they get a bit older you really can't hold kids down like that and once they're responsible enough to make choices and not, for example, read things like bestpageintheuniverse.net and say to themselves, "Wow, violence and swearing must be good, this guy makes it seem funny!" then it's time to take the Security locks off your kid's computer and give them some more freedom. Man, being a parent must be tough work...

I went on porn a school a little using proxy's and remote desktops. I love porn so no I want it to stay. It's sad that kids can get at it just like I did around the age of 13. Because of porn I have learned a lot. I knew all about sex and even know I still know more then my average peers. I learned at least 10 times the amount from porn and stuff like that other then teachers , T.V and even sex its self.
" why do i? " I can teach someone that knows PC basics how to crack almost any block within 60 seconds. Its so easy that its almost pointless to block in the first place. There are these things called proxy's that are extremely easy to use they work as a mirror and go around the blocking system.
Then there are remote desktops unlike proxy's these take time to setup but are 100% effective once you get them going. Only a select few can use a remote desktop link but I knew a few people including my self that used them in high school.

I think it is an abomination that people would use such a wonderful resource like the Internet to sell smut. I am 19 year old guy, but i do have enough common sense to know that it is just stupid! Actually, earlier today, i was doing a search for Christian Worship videos and all the search engine would turn up was porno sites. It disgusts me, and I feel very sorry for the poor souls that waste their time on them. And for the people in the porn? Being in a porno video is one thing, you know people have to buy it to see your face, but i could easily go on line and possibly see my mother! Way too much over exposure. Sorry for the long answer, but I just experienced it earlier today, and it interferes with my studies, and tries to lead me into temptation which I know Jesus would not be happy about. If anyone wants to start a christian petition to bann the porno sites, SIGN ME UP!

Porno sites should be banned because some adults cannot control themselves. Computer porn nearly ruined my marriage. We can put blocks on for our children. We had no children in the house at the time. I did not know that I neeed to control my husband. It was so embarassing. My brother was providing our internet service. He shut it off and refuses to give me the details that he had to witness of the sites my husband had visit. It's not a jealousy of him looking at beautful women. (Okay I now have a problem with that) Our sex life is not okay with him, even when I try. I cannot compete with those fantasy women. It is so painful.

If kids want to look at porn, then you are not going to hide it from them as long as it exists somewhere.
And if all porn is banned everywhere, then some of these kids will end up being peeping Toms to satisfying their sexual curiousity.
It's up to parents and teachers to supervise the kids and watch what they do.
Banning porn for all adults, just because some poorly supervised kids can take a peek doesn't make sense.

Me! And yes, I'm a teen and saying this should be banned from the Internet b/c it will mess up your mind and you will start thinking the wrong things and not focusing on school. Although, I thought that after the Janet Jackson slip, they would ban porn b/c they said that they would...maybe they didn't mind leaving the nasty stuff on there for kids to look at! That's ashamed! I'm for banning this stuff on the net too; go for it sista!

I don't care either way, people are going to do what they want no matter what, but this is the perfect setup for this awesome quote from Scrubs (from the ever-amusing Dr.Cox):
COX: You know what would happen if they took porn off the internet? There would be only one site left on the whole 'net, and it would be called Bring Back the Porn.

No, parents should learn how to control their kid's computer access. If you aren't home to watch them or can't find a program to filter out porn sites then put a password on the computer.
We shouldn't ban things just because parents are too lazy to control their kids.

Pornography isn't in charge for increasing incidents of rape in India, international over the pornographic web pages are truthfully accessible to the human beings yet such brutal acts of rape incidents like what had handed off on December sixteen and what has handed off now with a 5 year previous female do no longer take place in the different united states. besides on a similar time as we communicate while pornographic web pages have become considered throughout India, then why basically maximum brutal rape incidents are occurring in Delhi basically?- Even in previous while there exchange into no pornography the rape incidents did befell. so, you may no longer blame pornography for females appropriate offenses, What we surely choose is to alter social physique of concepts in the direction of women in our society.
