my hubby and I brought 3000 and we still came home with a few hundred and we bought gifts for 12 people. But we are not big gambles we blew maybe 1000 on gambling. good luck have fun. see a show , take the bus, eat at the flamingo buffet, go to Fremont st at night, the best shopping is at the Aladdin. I 've been to Vegas 3 time and I still haven't made in past the m&m factory. THE PALMS IS NOT WORTH IT.

It all depends on what it is you are trying to do in Las Vegas. You don't don't need that much money to have a good time in Vegas. Not including your air fare and hotel I would say to bring around...I can't really say cause it all depends on what it is that you want to do. Are you going to go shopping? Are you a gambler? How much gambling are you planning on doing? Do you play the slots? There are a lot of things to consider. But without knowing any of this I would say to bring atleast $1500.

For a poker bank-roll, buy into a game with around 100x the big blind and bring 300x for the trip. (If the minimum bet is $5, bring $1,500).
Show tickets cost an average of $55
Restaurants, etc. will cost as much as you want them to.

When my husband and I go for 7 nights, we take about $2800 for his gambling, our food, souvenirs, etc. I usually take about $200 for myself to gamble. We usually come home with money because we don't gamble that much, and if we do, we usually break even. If you are going to nightclubs, that can be pretty expensive.
We pay for all our shows before we go so we can get good seats.
