oops is all you can say to the salemans that asks what happened. try calling the 1-800 number that deals with technical support but i think you need another computer or just continue using the one you're using to post the question

your are lucky if you did not smell any burn smell due to short circuit in electrical connections. Just let it dry for a few days and then try.
The other side is well, you know

I spilled milk on my HP laptop once, and it killed the motherboard. Do you have repair service on it? Like for accidental spills, drops, etc? If not your probably screwed. Sorry!

you presently have 512mb -- you max out at 2GB. in case you took your memory lid off you may locate 2 256mb sticks of RAM -- in my view, i could purchase 2 512mb to make a million GB of RAM or in case you ought to locate the money for it (plus, it may be extra proper interior the long-term) purchase 2 1GB sticks. Your game won't lag (a minimum of because of the fact of RAM standards). desire this helped! Maggie B

Unfortunately, I think your laptop is toasted. All the precious electronic parts of your laptop are directly beneath your keyboard and trackpad/mouse area. :(

Sorry, but your laptop is ruined. Any wet liquid will ruin your laptop if you spill anything on them. This is why they always have warnings about not spilling anything on your laptop.
