I just want to say that FooFooGirl doesn't know what she's talking about. Jessica Simpson has more talent in her pinky than Ashlee has in her entire body.
And to answer your question, I have no idea why her songs are more popular. My guess is that it's teh same reason why there is crappy music on the charts these days.
