I had a breat reduction and I knew there would be scars but mine are really noticable and one nipple is a tad higher then the other and sometimes you can see it on the top of my bra. The only person who sees them is my boyfriend and he hasn't said anything bad about them or mentioned the scars. But could he be thinking they look gross even though he says he likes how they fit in his hand now. He still touches me the same way. I don't know, maybe I'm just being self concious.

How recent was the surgery preformed? Is there still pain and redness?

Vitamin E oil is good at helping scars fade away.

Another option you might want to check out is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). Although most insurances will not cover this therapy for your situation, it will probably help quite a bit. Call some centers and ask about the effectiveness of fading scars away as it heals the tissue.

If you do investigate HBOT centers, visit them and look at their chambers. Many are designed in different ways and the best chambers are metal chambers with windows (so you are not claustrophobic) and do NOT require you to wear a mask. You can watch TV, read a book or listen to your favorite CD’s on some of these centers.

Good luck and all the best to you!

Ok, I went from an H to a D, paid for it myself (as I'm UK) and it was the best thing I did. My scars are raised and I was worried about my new boyf seeing them - but I really shouldn't have worried. To put it crudely if I didn't know a guy well enough to say whether he would freak out - there's no way he'd see my boobs! As long as you don't hide the fact you've had a reduction it won't be a shock. My ex used to make jokes and call me cut & paste but that's why he's an ex! Scarring depends on how well the individual heals, if you've ever had a nasty cut it will be a pretty good indicator. I used the silicon strips, the creams, pure vitamin E - the lot and they are still noticeable. BUT - I'd have a reduction every single morning if it meant I could feel the way I did when I wore a backless dress for the first time. Good luck and remember that whatever you decide, choose what's best for you.

try some vitamin E oil on the scars, you can get it at any health store (I even think Wal-Mart sells it). It should help eliminate the scars.

I would go get professionally resized for a bra (if you haven't already). And make sure you tell the person that you just had a Reduction and you need help fitting into a new bra properly. (the girls at Victoria's Secret are usually good about it)

As for whether or not your honey really likes them......hun, he's probably just thrilled that you did this for yourself (I'm guessing a medical issue or pain issue), and is happy that you still let him play with them.

I wish you the best,
Hannah

I recently had a breast reduction and have very little scarring. I'm sorry to hear that yours are so noticeable! I recommend Mederma scar cream. It will soften the scars and make them less visible. As for one nipple being higher than the other, I think you'd need another surgery to fix that. Good luck!
