We live In a society where every girl on every magazine cover is thin and made to believe that, that is what you have to look like in order to be accepted. Personally I would rather see a girl with a little meat on her bones on the Cover of Cosmo rather than a Mrs. Bag of bones. In all reality the average women isn't a size zero. What do you think/prefer?

I couldn't agree more, don't Americans have enough eating disorders. Besides look at all of those celebs that looked better with more meat on them. Lindsey Lohan, Mary Kate Olsen, Hillary Duff, Rene Zelwegger, Keira Knightly, and Nicole Richie. The list goes on and on. You would think that being a woman you would respect other women and know what they go through with the whole self image thing and want to set a good example. I'm sure the anorexic looking girls on magazine covers wont stop, but I have hope, there seems to be a lot of people out there like us that would agree with this issue.

I definitely agree that women should be a little meatier. Being a mom of two young girls (4 and 6) I think it is sickening that the only "role models" are these skinny, sick looking girls. There is definitely a problem when a six-year-old girl thinks she is fat. All because every female that they see (whether it be Barbie, Cinderella, or the popular, well-liked, characters they see on tv) are all stick thin. I don't see anything wrong with being in the 8-14 size range. In fact, that is when women look the best.

My un -pc answer for why the skinny heroin chicks as models is that many of the clothes designer are gay. They as a result want very boyish ungirl looking models. So skinny and no curves are what they use.

A real American girl with the normal amount of body fat is the thing for me. Those girls that you can see hip bones and her collar bones stick out make me think of concentration camp photos.
normal body fat = 20-25%! not 2% :)

I'm with you on that. I can't believe everyone is still pushing this size zero mess-the average size of an American woman is 14! Duh! That should tell them it's OK to use women who represent MOST of us!

properly i might extremely be interior the middle like i'm now, i hate the look of flab and the look of bones... on myself besides, some females curiously stable on, i've got on no account been the two yet i dont think of it would look stable.
