LOL. I know. I believe so. Actually, I found it to be very interesting and intriguing, up until the part in the film about how when Columbus 'discovered' America that the Native Americans could not 'see' the ships... WTF? Dude tried to say it was because they have never seen or imagined such a thing, so their minds could not comprehend it, thus they could not 'see' it. Which led me to believe, by that rationale, there are aliens among us, we just can't 'see them' because we don't know what tha *&^$ they look like. Our minds cannot 'comprehend' such a thing. C'mon maaan, get tha hell outta here with that BS. But yeah, it's still an entertaining film. I was surprised that there was a sex scene.
@Lazerfish - Really? I didn't get the sense that it was a metaphor, I'll watch it again when I'm bored.

No, it's completely serious. It just uses examples like the kid going all crazy on the basketball court to illustrate basic principals of quantum mechanics so we regular ppl can understand it.
While most of the stuff they do in the movie is very improbable at the macro scale, under the laws of physics as we understand them right now, it is still all possible and actually does happen on the quantum scale.

No, the movie was serious.
The movie tried to illustrate principles of quantum physics in simpler terms.
Some of the principles of quantum physics can seem very strange, especially to someone who has little scientific background in the subject. Rather than making a 'boring science film', they tried to put somewhat of a story to it.

I saw this film and no, it is not a joke. It is supposed to be about opening the human consciousness and awaking our minds to other possibilities.

The Native Americans could not "see" the boats because they did not know what it was. They did see something, they just did not think it was a boat. They actually thought that it could be clouds or smoke.
