don't get me wrong, I have also noticed how many extremely intelligent and perseptive people there are and I am delighted to read their stuff; however, some of the tripe that comes from people who know absolutely nothing about the subject they are replying to is excrutiating.

Yes, I agree with you. I've noticed a lot of them are teens, and I guess we can't blame them for not knowing any better (although it concerns me that the bulk of their questions are about suicide and sex)...
I really get angry when someone offers a comment or an attack that is SO ignorant and stupid, but there is no way to contact them for a rebuttal! Just the other day a woman mocked me for talking about the "yolk sac and egg" during the 5th week/stage of pregnancy. She pointed out my comment to everyone else on the list and said "Check out KOGIRLS comment...What does she know? What a moron! I didn't know humans were having baby chicks"...the woman has been pregnant twice before and she doesn't even know about the different stages of development??? That made me so mad I even considered giving up on Yahoo questions!

People here aren't any more stupid than they are anywhere else. It's just that some of them are too lazy to properly formulate a good question or give much thought to an answer or use the spell check. They have given up quality in favor of being bullying wise-asses.

I get to a point where the redundant ignorance is just exhausting.
I sound awfully arrogant but I guess I'm entitled to my opinion. I truly don't think people are stupid but it seems like if they don't know what they're talking about they just keep droning on and on without really offering a "considered" opinion.
