I tackled "The Stand" by Stephen King, I swear it weighed at least three pounds, whereas the classic "War and Peace" weighed in at a little over two pounds.
I actually only made it throught about a pound or so of the Stand and I had to put it down, too heavy.
What is your record?

The USCG Mate and Engineer's study guides. Together, it consists of about 10 books, about 12 inches thick, and has the answers to over 50,000 questions and problems. I have read each of them, cover to cover, three times while studying for my third mate and third assistant engineer's licenses. Each of these written examinations took one week to take.

Depends on what you mean (obviously weight per your question.
I read the stand but paperback. I did read Insomnia by King hardback. But as for heaviest as in "whoa that's heavy, man" probably On the Road or maybe The Way of the Peaceful Warrior. It's a toss up. Happy reading.
Oh, not too mention this Economics text book I had once, 300 lbs., easy.

It was titled, " The Only Book You Need For Weight Lifting." It weighed seventy pounds. I used it for curls and military press.
