Drink more water, that may be the cause of your dry lips. Don't lick them, as that will aggravate the problem as will biting your nails. When you brush your teeth, gently scrub your lips too. Since lip balms are hurting you, you may be allegeric to something in them...you may want to investigate that. A good natural substitue is olive oil.

When your lips are chaped and dry, it is a signal from your body that you didn't drink enough water. Try to drink a cup or two of water first thing when you wake up. Then drink 6-8 cups of water in between the day (e.g. break time, lunch time, etc.). At night, put on lip balm then put on vaseline (vaseline helps to lock the water). You can also try to use lip mask (e.g. mary-kay) maybe once a week or before you put lipsticks on when you put on make up. Hope it helps!

i have a cheap and easy exfoliation and conditions your lips.
Before you brush your teeth, your colgate, take a small amount on ur palm, apply it on your lips and let it stay on for few minutes or you can go ahead brushing your teeth.
Then once done the remaining residue you rub lightly and rinse. Drink a cup of water after that. You will have supply, pink looking healthy lips...not mentioning cooling too :)
For some radiance, add some lip balm containing spf's.

I had jaw surgery last year and b/c your face and lips swell quite a bit I was given some lanolin to use. But after I left the hospital the doc said I could use Vaseline so I bought a tube of the creamy kind and it worked great. You only need a little bit.

sorry hon, but you need to use chapstick. it is used to repair your lips, as well as right before you go to bed. Daily, in the morning, use a warm, soft washcloth, to get rid of old skin. When you're outside, wear lip color with sunscreen in it. Banana Boat has a sunscreen lip balm with SPF 30, with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E. It works great.

Don't lick them. There is nothing else you can do besides that and use lip balm.
