Who played the father in, Family Affair, and the head alian in, Cocoon ?
I can't remember that actor's name. He has played in many television shows including Life Time television movies and movies.
Is he still alive ?
I could have swarn I saw him in a new television show,or maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me.
I should know this answer, but my brain is in nutrel these days..

Brain Keith - who passed away years ago - portrayed the father figure known as "Uncle Bill" on the TV series "Family Affair"
A different actor, Brian Dennehy (who is still very much alive) portrayed the head alien in the movie "Cocoon."

You have two actors confused I'm afraid....
Brian Keith played Uncle Bill on Family affair.
Brian Denehy played the head alien guy in cocoon.
