why are we in earth?...... Is there a purpose for us to be in earth?

Well, we are not in Earth, we are on Earth, and the reason is because I believe God put us here to serve some purpose. When He is done with us, we will be gone. He wants us to be good citizens, kind to our peers, share, be honest, give to the world so we are not takers, care for the elderly, give food to the needy, love our families, live good spiritual lives according to the religion we have chosen. God is a merciful God, because he creates miracles every day and those who have never witnessed one find it hard to believe, but I've seen His miracles and they are real. Some things I don't think we are supposed to know as He has made that spiritual law; those things we just have to accept and don't worry about it. I hope I am serving my best purpose to serve Him, and I always fall short, but I never quit trying.

Our purpose ON Earth is to live and be remembered as somebody who did something to change the world.

We're on Earth because it happens to be that way. Your purpose for being on earth depends on what you make happen now that you are here.

Yes, there is a purpose.
1. To gain a physical body
2. To recieve the necessary ordinances of God to be perfected in him and return to live with him one day
3. To gain experience, wisdom, knowledge and understanding
4. To develop our talents
5. To build the kingdom of God on earth

I dont know why we are here. However, i do know that we are completly insignificant we dont aconplish anything that affects much more then our own lives. We just live, f-u-c-k things up a little bit more then they were before and die. Seriously, you think that your life is such a big deal but if you die today will it really affect anything? No, sure some ppl close to you will be sad but if you look at the big picture no one will even notice your gone. Depressing huh?

I think this can be answerd only by two groups of people!

everything is a miracle."
The group that believe everything is made by God will answer you this question. God brought us here!
The group that believe in science, they will answer you this:
We dont konw the real answer, yet we need people like you to discover it!
To really answer this kind of question, it really need to take time (maybe 1day, 1 year or 1000 years) and effort!
Bottom line, please dont take science for granted!

I think we are hear because of chemical reactions. There isn't a purpose but we should feel lucky to exist at all.
