Read a book. Of course I'm being a bit of a hypocrit, because I too am bored out of my mind at the moment and here I am wasting time on Yahoo answers. I even made a bloody avatar. Sad, really.

I like to do the find a word puzzles. They get my brain to working and some of the words I get curious about and look them up in a dictionary. I also like to sew, get on the internet, play solitaire on the computer, or write my thoughts in a journal. These things I can do by myself and have some peace and quiet from the rest of the household.

I find that the best thing is to get a nice book, romance fantasy, fiction whatever you are into and soak in a tub with candles lite and lavender incense. It relaxes you and you get a better vocab and learn many other interesting things along the course of the book.
