I want to setup my website as a legal business in the state of Florida? I am an individual and this will be a one person operation. How would I go about doing this and what are the legal requirements?

P.S. I live in Clearwater which is next to Tampa. The county is Pinellas.

Congrats on the new business plan. I hope it works out for you. I recommend doing plenty of research before you "open your doors." There are several permits and licenses that you will need to acquire - but really that's the easy part - just paperwork.

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.

I posted links for you in the source box pertaining to starting a business in your state.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* How to Start a Business in Florida by Entrepreneur Press
* How to Start a Business in Florida, 7E by Mark Warda

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Compared to offline businesses, the investment required to start an online business is minimal. A popular way of earning money on the internet is by providing information and services. This can be monetised by advertising or charging a subscription. You can also make money online by selling products on auction websites like eBay or through your own website.
