I have had several debates with people about life and how people perceive it. I am often told I would be a great father, but the world is not a place I would want to raise a child. I want to know what others think of life.

Well, sounds like to me you just Joined the cynic club. Welcome, hon. Yes, I agree with you, personally. I wouldn't either. However, I know many people who would rather exist and breed under any conditions because their glass is always half-full. They are those of us who don't "search" or "seek" They live. Just live. We the idealists, the realists, and the cynics see it as it is, as it should be and expect the sinister side.

I believe that a person can be as happy or as miserable as they choose in this life. I think the main meaning of life is deciding what to make of what we get. besides, when was there a time good enough to raise a child? The world always has been and always will be a rough, terrible place but there is always the beauty and friendship to counter it. point of view

I think life is a balance of positive and negative. It's simply the human condition. If we place too much importance on the negative, we dwell on it, and therefore live in that space. I have learned to "allow" and accept the negative times in my life, knowing full well that eventually changes take place and the pendulum swings back, and life becomes positive and fun again. When I was younger, I used to take those negative times very seriously, and consequently caused them to last longer by placing so much emphasis on how "terrible" it was. It kept my negative thinking strong and alive by reacting that way.

i go back and forth a lot... but then again im on medication for depression, so what do i know?
as for bringing a child into this world, if youre a great father, you'll be able to help them with the troubled times. not that their life will bea easy, but you can be a constant support and loving father for them, that will make the world as easy for them as it can be.

Enjoyable. It's all in how you define your life in the good, the bad and the indifference in situations that enter into your life. The more faith, honesty, trust and love you have in one another, makes life all the better..
