isn't it like getting a traffic ticket but not saying what violation you got the ticket for?

Oh they tell you, but the charges and the term of service don't match.
Read the Terms of Service and you will find at least one Contradiction of Hypocrisy.

Oh no, they will tell you what they feel you have violated. Read it carefully, it is hidden in all of the community guidelines that they include with the violation email.

they probably just assume you should know exactly what you've done wrong since you supposedly read and agreed to the terms of service.
