Here in Egypt you will find Mac, KFC, Hardee's and lots of other returants and cafes! For a list of some available for home delivery in Zamalek: http://www.otlob.com/otlob/Food/Restaurant.asp
That is just an example! and most of them are available in variety of places in major cities of Egypt! However, a friend of mine was in KFC in Al-Sharqeyah (governerate in northern Egypt) told me that KFC prices were about 10% higher than they are in Cairo! I have no information if that would apply to McDonald's!
General speaking, living in Egypt is not expensive! If you are a student or a budget traveler it is the place you go. If you know someone from the inside that would decrease your costs!
If you are a wealthy man! there are thousands of travel agencies wating for your money! 5 stars hotels! four seasons, Sheraton, Hilton, Sofitel... and others (That what came across my mind now)
One last tip... traveling from Cairo to Luxor by plain is cheaper than the train. This information was valide last February! The plain would take and hour, the train would take 12!

Cairo is among the world's great megacities. As wonderful as it is crazy, and as full of ancient finery because it is half dilapidated, Cairo is commonly a city that travellers love and hate in equivalent procedures so discover where group you will soon be with the aid of that place hotelbye . In Cairo you will discover, beyond the present day hubbub, a record that spans centuries. Full of vigour, Cairo is where you truly get a feel for Egyptian road living and no visit to Egypt is total without a stay static in the town Arabs contact Umm al-Dunya (The Mother of the World). The definitely astonishing number of antiquities exhibited in Cairo's Egyptian Museum causes it to be one of many world's good museums and positively a area for everyone's to visit.
