it's basically a man who does things like use lots of facial care/skin care products, gets manicures, cares a lot about fashion etc. It's essentially a man who treats himself like a woman is thought to do with health and beauty care products.

One deemed as metrosexual has characterisitics of the sterotyped gay man (i.e. likes to cook,enjoys decorating,clothes,shopping) but who is indeed strait.
But like most stereotypes...ignore it. I know gay men who hate to shop,cook or decorate, and my boyfriend ( luckily enough for me and our son) loves to cook.
Go figure.
