Ok, im from Australia and to be honest, i dont care about the war... Australia is a happy go lucky counbtry and i love it here - i will never move. My question for you is this... our Aussie government is using tax payers money to get our "australian dual citizens" back home from Lebanon. I think its a disgrace. If you want to move o'seas and want that life, then stay. We dont want you back. I am not working 40 hours a week so unloyal citizens can get a free flight home. Who agrees with me? My friends think im cold hearted and being very "unaustralian"?? What do you think! Thanks!!! Peace out!

But people who have just moved over there because thats the life they want - then no. It goes on. Lenanese ppl are coming back here and are going on our pensions $500 per week per person! Its disgusting. You left??

Ok, i understand why my point can be seen as cold hearted. But, it is not our responsiblity for people who hav immigrated to Aust, then just willingly go "home" to be given a free ride home. yes, it is war. i get it. But, i can truthfully stand here and say if i were to travel to the middle east, then i would happily take the consequences of that risk. its their problem they cant see that, not mine.

Same thing happened here in the states....The govt. is also paying for US citizen to get back home safely....I have a problem with it too...

First of all, they willingly took a risk in going there for whatever reason, work or whatever. So, they should be aware of the inherent danger in living there, its called personal responsibility....

I mean if you see trouble coming, get the heck out of there and don't wake till you see bullets coming your way....I don't think it is cold hearted, but rather common sense. I would never go there in the first place, but if I did, I would make sure to get out before any trouble starts, what are people blind?

I'm from Texas, and I will never understand war.
Americans will never be able to pay back all the money tha has been pumped into the mideast conflict, still we are there.
Meanwhile, our country does nothing about tens of thousands of illegal alien criminals who illegally cross into the US each month.
We have a multifaced government which grants each face it's own opinions. Unfortunately you are right.
Meanwhile as prices on everything increase by about 30%, the USA minimum wages have not been increased for almost a decade; still $5.15 an hour for full time. $4.75 for temps.
Each year Congress and Senate get a pay increase since they have been good to Mexico.

Hizballah is a terrorist team doing what it does wonderful, terrorizing the persons of Israel and Lebanon. Israel because it has performed is the previous and retains to do, is struggling with for its properly to proceed to exist. Radical Islam has claimed that Israel has no properly to exist and does not in reality exist. seem at any map made in an Muslim managed state. I wager you 10 to at least a million Israel isn't on it... Terror is evil. you may hate me for saying it, yet seeing as how they're those committing all the terrorist acts i ought to finish, Hizballah is evil, and they are at fault. they should be "eliminated" by technique of Israel and Lebanon mutually, and enable the Lebanese people and Israel a modicum of peace.

And what about your fellow aussies who went there to study? Many students from around the world are stuck in lebanon... one day they are in a classroom... the next they are trying to figure out how to get out of a war torn country. What about people who were there on vacation? People there visiting family? Do you just say "Screw You... you should have never left austrailia to begin with?"

Somehow your question tells me that you don't qualify to use the words "Peace, out" in anything you say or write. You need to believe it and have it in your heart... what I'm seeing is a mean selfish person, saying "Peace" as if it makes every mean thing he's said perfectly OK.

what is wrong with spreading your wings? I don't think they went there thinking that this terrible thing would happen. what if there was a war to break out in Australia would you want us to leave you stranded there? Put the shoe on the other foot and think outside your little world. Is it really unloyal to go where you think you may prosper and do you right by your family? Do you have any clue as to why these people left? It may well of been closed minded people such as yourself.

You can pay for it now or pay for it later after they are dead and have to come home in a freight airplane. This is typical of all counties to try and remove expatriots from war torn countries once the shelling begins.

Should you pay for it? If you are the one ordering it, yes. If this is voluntary, no. At any rate, you are so just acept it. By the way, they are paying Austrailian taxes even though they are working abroad so it is their money too.

I think Humans are to live in communities and got to help each others. we can not just say we do not care. the fire in your neighbor's house could be in yours next day. and feeling you do not care could turn against you. I agree that governments should find other ways other than taxes. There should be for example an emergency budget for it. or ppl coming back should share the payment if not now may be later and so on. wish nothing bad happen to you to realize this fact.

Judging from my knowledge of Aussies during my one-month visit, I gather you really mean "Arabs". And I gather you are trying to tell us that you don't really think they're Aussies because they're not white?

Right?

Gotcha.

You're not the only one in Australia who thinks the same way. Who am I to tell you how to run your country? However, I am telling the truth.

Those people didn't bargain for getting caught in the middle of a war. I hope you never have to be rescued from a dangerous situation.
