Best player in the league currently is probably LaDanian Tomlinson.....he can do it all...I wouldn't be suprised if he was able to play defense just as well, he's certainly got the speed for an outside linebacker...but he's probably going to remain the most impressive just where he is. Peyton is a great QB...but...show me the rings? Show me he can manage without the best offense in football behind him. Tom Brady never really had super star players on offense....but it didn't seem to matter....I'm sticking to that for now. But yeah...Tomlinson is definately an extremely valuable guy to have on your team.
It's hard to judge the best player because not everyone can play every position to prove their the best...skill level at positions can work...but look at WRs and RBs...you can have an 1800yard RB and a 1500yard reciever...and well...who do you want to say is better? The RB has more yards sure....but the reciever has a much higher average yards per catch....so at what point does skill make either one better than the other? That's why I have to pick LT...I'd pick Marshall Faulk but he's aging now and probably not the best anymore...but he's one of the two RBs in history that I know of to get 1000rushing and 1000receiving yards in one season...Something I think LT can do at some point in his career......But I'll stop babbling now.

At the position yes Peyton is the best because no other quaterback was that capable at running an offense where a white 3rd reciever can catch for over 100 yards

Yes he is a great player. But he is a much better person. I meet him when my brother was coming out of having cancer. Peyton was really nice and send an autograph to my brother.
