Doing this leads to Bulimia and it will cause many health problems before it kills you. Once you have Bulimia you can't stop doing it, it becomes a compulsion that you have no control over. A compulsion is like an addiction.

When I used to work as a R.N. on a psych unit in a hospital, I heard of patients who couldn't keep any food down. Everything they tried to swallow would come back up.

Please don't start to throw up as a way to lose weight. Eating a sensible diet and being on a good exercise program may sound difficult or boring but it works and will bring you health and a long life.

If diet and exercise have been difficult for you, why not try Weight Watchers or something like that? If you can find a friend or 2 that want to lose weight, try doing it with them and talking with each other to give each other mutual support. Doing something like this with other people who are trying to do the same thing can be a big help.

There are more tips and info. 1. If what you are eating has less than 1 carb, count it as 1 carb just to be sure. 2. Totally avoid caffine at least for the first two weeks on the program. 3. Drink a MINIMUM of 8 glasses of plain water or seltzer daily. 4. Don't weigh yourself more than once a week 5. Take starting measurements as well as weight - sometimes you'll lose inches before pounds 6. Avoid any type of "low carb" sweetener for the first two weeks 7. Don't compare your loss to someone else's - this is a YMMV thing (your milage may vary) 8. Stalls are common around the third week so don't panic 9. If you follow your plan to the T and don't lose, consider Candida as a possibility and avoid vinegar, cheese, mushrooms and any other fermented food 10. Have bloodwork done before starting so you have a comparison 11. Cholesterol can be elevated in the first few weeks til your body adjusts - make sure your doctor knows that you're doing low carb and when you started 12. Don't blame the diet if you don't read your plan book -- blame the diet if you don't read the labels -- Don't blame the diet if you don't follow the diet Good Luck and Take care :-)

The person who said you will lose a lot fast and then explained how, obviously has an eating disorder herself.. I advise you not to listen to her.

You will not lose weight fast. You will lose the weight of whatever you just ate, but thats it. It takes a long time for your body to go into starvation mode. My guess is that you will still be eating something, or you will become very weak very fast and everyone will know something is wrong with you and you will become very mean.

So since you will be still nourishing your body with something, whether milk, or carrots, or whatever, you're body won't go into starvation mode right away. Thats why it takes so long for people to realize people have anorexia. It can take over a year of eating one very small meal a day to lose weight. I did this.. not intentionally to lose wieght, I was just never hungry.. but for a year or so, I hardly ate.. and I still maintained an unhealthy 200lbs. I usually ate a quick snack between school and work.. and that was it.

Before you lose a large amount of weight, you will have eaten the enamel off your teeth...if you are under 18, your dentist will probably inform your parents of this when you have your teeth cleaned next. Then the acid will start to tear up your throat. Our throats are not made to have acid coming up them all the time. Whether you drink milk or not, or whatever that girl said, you will still be putting acid in your throat every time you throw up.. and from personal experience, I can tell you this is bad. My father actually died from acid reflux (acid in your throat). The acid ate it's way into his air passage, then it will go into your lungs.. then you will be on oxygen but it won't really help because there is a whole in your throat and the acid will continue to eat.

Do yourself a favor, go get some exercise and eat a healthy diet. If you are that worried about your weight, talk to your doctor. If you are worried enough about your weight to make yourself throw up, seek the help of a councelor or someone that can help delve into the deeper issue you have with your self esteem or whatever is going on in your life. Many people develop an eating disorder because it is something they can control when their life is out of control.

Well actually you will lose weight. But it is NOT a good idea. Try going on an exercise routine or something. But can also make you not lose weight because when you eat anything then you don't eat your body stores it as carbs and fats because it thinks that you are starving. DO NOT make yourself throw up it will also hurt the enamel on your teeth.

Even if you lose weight this way, as everyone else has mentioned.. It is NOT a healthy way to do it....
Please consider your health now and for the future.. you may
have short term weight loss but you will gain long-term health problems which may include but don't quote me, weakening your
heart.. and damaging your vital organs...that is not to mention your teeth, throat, esophagus, etc. If you are serious about losing weight, look into doing a safe detox cleanse... i.e. Dr. Bernard Jenson's 11 day detox regime.. (I bought the book at Whole Foods but look up his website online: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0658002759/104-0458664-1038306?v=glance&n=283155
you can lose from 5-10 pounds (some water, fat, muscle) but it is really a healthier way to do it.. not a total fast.. and it will clean out your body.. then you can get on a healthy eating lifestyle.. with smart food choices and exercise.. consider power yoga or walking as exercise.. Even having a positive attitude about your body image will help you to lose weight... LOVE YOURSELF and accept yourself but lose weight safely and in the long run.. you
will keep it off and learn a healthy lifestyle.. Good luck!!!
PS... cut out junk foods, soda, processed foods and sugar... drink lots of water, too.... you will do GREAT..... and feel GREAT, too!!!

...Not healthily. This is called Bulimia! You will lose all the enamel in your teeth because the acid in the stomach corrodes it as you vomit out.

why do you think this way anyway? Go to a doctor to see if you are in your healthy weight range before you can start thinking up of crazy ways to lose weight.

Dont look at those skeleton celebrities. They are ugly as hell with all the bones popping out in all directions. That is not beautiful...
Take care of yourself and eat! Just the right foods like fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean meats, etc....

You deserve optimum health! Good luck!

you can lose alot of wieght, but thats a very very un healthy way of loosing wieght, you can cause aneroxia (sp???) by doing that. It will cause other health problems, even when you need to gain wieght, your body wont be able to. Making yourself throw up is taking away vitamins n calcium your body needs..and doing that makes it to where your body has no enegy (you eating is what keeps you moving and going) so then your body begins eating the fat cells it has stored and you get skinnier, but thats a bad thing to do. you can die from becoming belimic (sp??). dont do it, call jenny craig or work out or diet or somethng, just odnt make yourself throw up.

Look at all the people who care and don't even know you. They're right, don't start. How will you feel when your family and friends find out, they all love you, correct? Love yourself and do it the right way, eat healthy and exercise, just try one day at a time.

Alot actually and fast, but you have to do cardio. Drink alot of milk, so your stomach doesnt get an acid home or you dont develop acid reflux.
Plus your teeth may lose enamel.
