we don't all look the same, we all think different thoughts and have different beliefs, just because somebody looks like something doesn't mean they are. Stereotyping hurts feelings. People are not their stereotypes. It sounds like you need to be a lot more open minded. Everyone is SO different with a million different interests.

That is a problem the world has dealt with from the beginning of society. You can't. Other people have to realize for themselves that stereotypes are wrong.

Make friends with people who have a different background and travel to places outside your normal surroundings. Learn to step out of the box.

if you know better than to stereotype, then certainly you can stop thinking that way. get to know people more, know that there is more than meets the eye.

Associate something you learned (TV, parents, school, etc.) with each stereotypical thought. You will find that mostly, it is what you have been taught, rather than what you feel.

Travel helps, also when you catch yourself doing it, gently remind yourself of why you think its wrong behavior and think of examples of folks who don't match thier stereotype. But don't berate yourself about it. That will just cause the unconscious mind to rebel and will be counterproductive.

stereotypes are typically true. like it or not. how else would they come into existence? the idea is learning that you can't let them effect the way you treat and see others.

Education. The more exposure to new cultures, new ways of
thinking, etc. the more you can think your own thoughts and draw
your own conclusions about things. Also, putting yourself in another's place, will give you new understanding.

Stop watching shows that enforce them and don't have out with people who feel the same way
