Goo gone

Wash car really good with mild soap and water. You can use a straight razor on the windows to get excess off. Use goo gone, but be careful, because it can cause a hazz in the paint (clear coat) if you rub too much or hard. You can fix the hazz problem by using a rubbing compound that you can purchase at any auto store. Good Luck

this mite sound crazy but try some dryer sheets (anykind even dollar store cheap ones) i have a brand new dodge 1 ton, an last week i had the same problem. the dryer sheets really made a difference, i mean that stuff came right off, pretty amazing in my book. just using the bug an tar remover with a rag just smears it around, but the dryer sheets gets it off with very little effort. dryer sheet work good on bugs an tar also. i recommend this to everyone.

Best, simplest, and cheapest by far is:

as hot of water as you can stand and dish soap.

remember, sap is basicly sugar and water.

If your car is outside, not in a garage, do it first thing in the morning, before it gets hot. That way it has also been "soaking" in dew all night. That helps for bugs also.

to get sticky residue such as tree sap off car paint you can use a special detailling clay bar. you have to wash your car, then use the clay bar, then wash it again, then wax the car. its a long process. check out this website for help: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/inf-clay.html

products like goo-gone and the like are not 100% safe for car paint. if you have a junker car then don't worry about it, but if you care for your car i would go for the clay bar

There are products you can buy to help with that. Go to Wal-Mart ansd look in the auto section for it. It comes in a spray can. Tar remover or something of that nature. Just read the can for what it can remove.
