I have a very large pomegranate tree and would like to take cuttings instead of wating for seeds to grow. How would I do this?

i dont think that works, i think you have to plant the seeds.

Yes, there is. In the spring when you have new soft growth ,take a cutting about 4 to 6 inches of the new growth. Cut just below a node. Plant in a moist mix of 2 parts peat moss and 1 part coarse sand. Cover with clear plastic (make sure it doesnt touch the leaves) and put in the shade. Once a week, let it dry out a bit for about 15 minutes then put the plastic back on. Hopefully, it will root in about 2-4 weeks. Be sure to dip the cutting in roottone or liquid seaweed before you cover it the first time and spray the top of the soil with antifungicide. The moist environment of your mini-greenhouse is a breeding ground for fungus that will kill your plant. Thats how to take softwood cuttings. You can take larger hardwood cuttings, but they take about 6 months or longer to root. Also check out heel cuttings. I dont remember all the particulars on the two but you could probably look them up.
ps dont make a cutting of a twig that has floweredor it wont work

No, none of the fruit bearing trees grwo from cuttings.
Either grafting or from Seeds.
