Teacher - Rick Schroeder
Sweethogs - Little Bow Wow as Washington, because he is black. John Leguzamo as the Hebrew Puerto Rican guy, Henry Winkler as the hoodlum, and the guy from 'Saved by the Bell' as Horshak because he is his son.
I don't know about Mr. Kotter's wife - how about Nicole Hilton? The principal would be Lew Alcindor and Johnny Brown could be the custodian.

No, I wouldn't even watch the show for free these days. I liked it well enough when I was a kid, but I grew up since then.
Unless they remake it like Miami Vice -- same title, same character names, otherwise completely different. Then maybe I'd watch it.

I would wait till it came on HBO to watch it. I wouldn't know who to cast in it.
Actually, I would love to see a reunion with all the original Sweathogs.

i imagine everyone in contact in the making of that dull piece of crap ought to be beaten with a rubber hose. Nudity? If merely. Then a minimum of i ought to have considered something properly easily worth the money.

Heck Yes! Oh my God I loved that show as a kid. How bout a "facts of life" or "silver spoon" or like, "Three's company" movie. Yesssssss!! LOL

there were rumors that a remake was going to happen. i also heard that ice cube was gonna play kotter. but it's just rumor so...

I don't know. Most movie remakes of old tv shows have been horrible, at best.
