Change in music from the Era's, What happened?

Remember the days when music inspired generations to fight for a cause and not accept the standards of society, but push for change

Now all music does is make kids cut themselves

where did we go wrong?

I know exactly what you mean. I'm so sick of our culture these days. I don't know if it's the corporations force feeding us pop culture or a lack of good inspiration or originality in today's youth.

Maybe it's just the way media distributors and record labels prevent really new things from getting out to the public. Or maybe the public is addicted to the sour milk, they've been feeding us and the public is afraid to change. But something has got to happen because I'm sick of the way things are!

The Boomers wasted their idealism on drugs and "free love", which was neither free nor love, so the younger generations are just waiting for them to die out until we can start making some real progress. Until then, it's either angst or bubble gum, sorry.
