I have been thinking of starting a new buisness online. To buy wholesale i need at lease on of the numbers listed above. What one would be the easiest to get and how would i get it?

Easiest to get. File an application, give your Social Security number and they will send out forms all the time!
And best of all, it's FREE, the others will tend to cost you money! You also have to know secret handshakes and passwords.

For the Federal Tax ID you can download form SS-4 at the IRS website. You will need a state resale permit if you want to buy from wholesale suppliers and also if you plan to make sales within your state (you will have to pay state sales tax if it is required in your state). You can get a business license from your local city or county government. You will need all three of these to run a legitimate business. You might also need a separate state tax ID number.
