I still support anyone who smokes and all
I just feel its time to give it up, and clear my head.

get up 2hrs earlier than you usually do and go for a run/walk for an hour (then use the next hour to shower, eat breakfast, read paper, etc). Try this for 2 weeks and see how it goes. If good, continue.

My husband has smoked it pretty much his whole life and what a waste is what I think. Right now he is trying to quit and is having a hard time sleeping etc. He's starting to look younger again and he's lost weight, which is wonderful. I'm still friends with people who smoke it, but, I wouldn't say I'd support them, cuz I am so against drugs of any sort! I never could understand why anybody would want to get "high". I love life just being normal myself. Besides I think drugs is a total waste of money and it makes one lazy. Clear your head and be strong, it'll be worth it in the end. You might even begin to wonder why you ever started it in the first place or even start thinking differently. I know it makes my husband think of how stupid he was. Good luck!

Get in the root of why did you even start and be honest with yourself. Sure a lot of people smoke for fun so they say. Others are simply their cultural background but I believe in most of the things we do especially addiction or habbit whatever you might call it have psychological influence... get in the root of your addiction and face it. You're right there's a time for everything. A time to smoke a joint for most of your lives and a time to give it up and enjoy life. Let me ask you this, do you think it's worth smoking a joint over something you would enjoy naturally high? Normally we still get high naturally if you're just willing to let things go. Hope I didn't get too personal. I once was a user and got so hooked but like you said time to give it up. Some people say with it they feel love but I say without it love becomes real. Even if you take out the branch if the root is still alive it will always come back one way or another.

I'm not going to lecture you on it cause i've done it b4 but honestly ithink it's grea that you feel that you are ready to give it up and move past that point in your life....if you are concerned about it try going to a doctor to talk about it if that isn't something that you want to do then I would try like some tylenol pm's for a while maybe, or trying a warm shower and jsut watchigna really borin gmovie maybe LOL i know doesn' tsound exciting but try something that would put you to sleep you think and something that would keep your mind off of getting high..i know that might be difficult to do but after a while you'll be use to it and it'll jsut come naturally...again congrats on the effort and thought of wanting to give it up!!!!

What I find truly fascinating about this, is that after many years of smoking you feel you should quit. I'd very much like to know why that is. Contact me if you wish.
The problem is psychological, since marijuana is not physically addictive, however, the brave stand-up solution is still the same in my view: Cold Turkey.

Sleeping problems are a common sign of marijuana withdrawal. Check out this study by the NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse). I guess my suggestion would be to try to wear yourself out during the day and try a relaxing activity before going to bed (reading, meditating, chamomile tea).

You may have a problem with false anxiety for about 6 months but it will come to an end. While people say there is no withdrawal....well this is it. In 6 months you will feel better and be glad you did it.

do it less often,
and eventually your pangs for it will go away.

look at it this way.
are you prepared to look for another job
if you lost the one you have.?
would you pass a drug test?

now, you have your motivation!
