serious serious issues my friend. either your bios is messed up or the cable connecting the hard drive to the motherboard is loose.

Turn it off then turn it on watch for the first screen to appear, push the button that it says to get into your bios usually like f4 or f8. when you get into bios go to where it says boot configuration, make sure the hard drive is set to boot 1st, if you end up having to reinstall windows there are options on it that let you save your files, that isn't true that you need a pro and you will lose files, Ive done this several times and was able to re-find files, you have to search around into your c drive to find them. Not really a serious issue, Ive made my computer not work on purpose just to fix it, Ive had this same thing happen before, you can get into laptops and replace hardrives, its harder then a desktop though.

check the bios and make sure the booting to the hard drive and if it see it either the partion is mess up or a bad harddrive. Use wxp disk boot from cd rom and repair os fix mbr command

Your hard drive has crashed. Try reinstalling Windows. Without professional assistance there is very little chance data can be restored.
