There's a certain calmness to it - a real feeling of comfort and oneness with the other person. For me, it was a feeling of "naturalness" with her. We shared it openly, and talked about how it just felt normal for us to be together. The idea of taking her for granted was more like a given...not in an 'expected' sense, but rather like a gift. I was given her life and gave her mine so it became ours....

....and both our lives became better.
