If its just started happening lately, it could be that your either:
1. Under alot of stress and many things are on your mind.
2. Your getting a little bored of the sex routine.
Both can be a common and normal feeling. Of course, this goes without saying that you'd probably want to keep this a secret from your lover....that'll only hurt him. However, you also need to work on fixing the issue. If your under stress, figure out what is stressing you and try to rid yourself of some of it. Go do things that help you relax. If its boredom, then its time to spice it up. See some of my other posts for ideas.

That would largely depend on where it wonders to and your specific level of sexuality. It could also be that your partner is a bad lover (I.E. not properly stimulating you, setting the mood, using good positioning/technique and/or is anatomically inadequate).
If the sex was once great and nothing has changed in the way you both approach sex, then it is probably a mental thing. If the sex has always been so-so and now its dull, it’s probably that you are stuck in the routine. If you are simply not very sexualized, then it would take more effort from the both of you in order to keep your mind on the act. Lastly I would analyze what it is you are thinking about when your mind wanders. If is routine things (indicates boredom), another male or a female(indicates that you have unfulfilled desires), or problems that you are having(indicates stress). It could be nothing, or it could be huge. Talk it over with a trusted friend.

That you are normal. A lot of people think about other people while having sex. As long as you don't do it every single time, things are okay. It isn't abnormal or against the rules to have a fantasy, even during intercourse. If you think about someone else all of the time, then you need to evaluate the relationship.

depends on what it wanders off to. There are days that we'll be smack in the middle of sex and my mind will suddenly wander to some show I've been watching or what chore I forgot to do. It just sometimes happens, as long as you are still having wander free sex most of the time and enjoying it I wouldnt worry.

I think it pretty much means that you are normal. I am pretty sure that everybody's mind has to wonder off at some time or another while having sex......

When my mind wanders off I usually think about tearing it up on my motorcycle. Throttle wide open, slamming every gear with perfect timing, engine screaming out of the pipe etc....
So basically what I'm telling you is that I wander off so I don't splode too early ;)

it depends on what u'r thinking about when u wander. r u thinking about pizzas, or other people, or stock exchange, or u grand mother......or brad Pitt, or Vin diesel, or Jabba the hut.......what r u thinking about??
