My parent's used this site when they got their home built. They did not by all of the plans but the builders were very knowledgeable of what they wanted and what they wanted to spend. My parents received land from inheritance, so that knocked off about $34000 for land. But YES!!!! you can build a house for that, check this out

You can choose what you want, I just put in specifications and that is what I got. When you click on the picture of the house, it will show u estimated cost to build the home. So, play around with it and see what happens. If that does not work, go to http://www.dreamhomesource.com/default.asp and choose what u want.

Maybe . . . Land is usually $100,000 by itselft, and construction materials have increased in price dramatically due to economic growth in places like China.

So, if you wanted a 1000 square foot custom home, you might be able to do it, but it's doubful.

Friend just bought a great parcel in Wyoming and they are going to build there 3000 sq ft home for around 150K. So you can just cut cost from there and probably get around 100K.

Idaho and Wyoming aren't to bad. It will just depend on where you buy the land at.

Stop being a cheap *** and make more money. Otherwise, buy resale or new build.
